C!NK is an app for hospitality teams to manage C!NK e‑ink banquet displays. This policy explains what the app stores, where, and why.
Your account
You sign in with your work email address. We email you a sign‑in link; there is no password. Your email address and an account identifier are stored so that we know which company you belong to and what you are allowed to do. Sign‑in and invitation emails are sent from hello@cartouche.ink.
Your company's data
When you are signed in, the following is stored in Cartouche's cloud database and shared with the other members of your company:
- Dishes: names, categories, notes, allergen and dietary flags.
- Displays: the name of each C!NK display registered to your company, when it was last connected, its battery level and firmware version, and what it is currently showing. These are recorded whenever a member connects to a display, so your team can see the state of its displays.
- People: the email addresses and roles of your company's members and pending invitations.
Members of one company can never see another company's data. Cartouche staff can see customer accounts in order to set up companies and provide support.
On your phone
- Bluetooth is used to send cards and firmware updates to nearby C!NK displays.
- NFC is used to read and write the sticker on a C!NK display; the sticker holds only the display's name.
- A copy of your company's dish and display lists is kept on the phone so the app works without a connection.
What we don't do
No analytics or tracking libraries, no advertising, no selling or sharing of data with third parties beyond the service providers below.
Service providers
- Supabase hosts the database and sign‑in service (United States).
- Resend delivers sign‑in and invitation emails.
Deleting your data
Deleting the app removes the copy on your phone. To delete your account and your email address from our systems, email support@cartouche.ink. A company's owner can remove members at any time, and can ask us to delete the company and all of its data.
Children
C!NK is a professional tool for hospitality staff and is not directed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
